Sustainability in Hudiksvall

About two years ago, there was a wish at Sunfab to start a network for sustainability in Hudiksvall. Sunfab, which already started to focus more clearly on sustainability issues in 2020, saw this as a good way for local companies to collaborate on these issues.
Sunfab's sustainability coordinator, Anna Sundin, contacted IUC (Industrial Development Centre), which took on the task of coordinating the project. Currently, the network consists of 12 medium-sized companies in the region, who meet four times a year. Topics discussed include how to report sustainability work and the impact on the outside world based on the value chain.
At the last meeting, the theme was social sustainability and inclusion. The initiative “Hej Aktivitet” (Hi Activity) was a guest at the meeting and presented its activities with activities for young people after school, where the aim is to create meaningful free time for both young and old.
Sunfab is one of the sponsors of “Hej Aktivitet”, which is a collaboration between the sports association Strands IF, the municipality of Hudiksvall, business and various local sports associations.

We support many different associations and organisations and want our contribution to provide the conditions for continued joy and development”, says Sunfab's HR Manager Mathias Ericson.
