Sunfab at the world’s largest commercial vehicle show

The world-leading truck exhibition IAA in Hannover had chosen its slogan this year to be “Driving tomorrow”. The ambition was to present the future of mobility, transport and logistics. Sunfab exhibited, among other things, its SAP.
IAA is considered to be the world-leading exhibition for the truck industry, organized every two years, always in Hannover, Germany. This year's edition took place between 20-27 September with 2,174 exhibitors from 48 countries and had about 250,000 visitors.
The trend is towards electric vehicles and digitization
This year's IAA showed several electric commercial vehicles going into series production. Over 36 models for test drives and numerous world premieres of e-vans and e-buses. Also, medium-duty electric trucks were exhibited at this year’s exhibition. Digitalization also appeared to be a strong trend this year, with everything from camcorders instead of rear-view mirrors to fully-connected trailers that use capacity management to communicate with the driver and provide suggestions for making the best possible capacity utilization.
Successful participation by Sunfab
– For us, the IAA is the most important trade fair of the year, says Jan Sundin, General Manager of Sunfab Hydraulik GmbH. It’s a place where the whole industry meets. The majority of visitors come from Europe but the whole world is represented here, continues Jan. At our booth, we had, for example, visits from several of our distributors, but also from some of our key customers. The most positive aspect of the fair is still the new customer contacts and inquires that are created. It gives us the opportunity to reach completely new markets, Jan Sundin concludes.
